Return a Hiker Box

We understand, sometimes life happens and you have to step off the trail! Use this form to contact us about you box. Please do not call the store with inquiries about your box, instead fill out the form below. This phone line is only active during the season and voicemail is not checked regularly. Please read through these FAQ carefully before submitting an inquiry.

 

FAQ

  • If you’ve sent a package USPS, you have the ability to return your box to sender. This option is free, and we are able to assign packages to be returned to the original shipping address on the package within 24 hours of receiving your inquiry via email. We aren’t able to respond to calls or voicemails!

  • To return your package to sender, you must coordinate with the carrier to get a return label. This requires having an account with the respective carrier and may cost a fee. Once you have been assigned a return label, you can email it to us and we’ll print your label and hand your resupply package off to the delivery driver.

  • We do not have the means to forward a resupply box. “Bouncing” a package to another town is a service only offered at a post office. If you want to forward a resupply box to your next stop, ie, Salida or Leadville, keep in mind that packages take a minimum of 5 business days to arrive at your next destination.

    We are able to purchase new shipping labels for you. Please text our shipping manager Megan at (303) 960 1941. We will do our best to help your package arrive at the next location!

  • Packages that are unclaimed by the end of our season will be donated to local food banks. If you are unable to pick up your package and wish for the contents to be donated to our community hiker box, please fill out the inquiry below.
